- Tale about Rabbi Ben Meir of Berdichev
Hurry is an expression of fear. Fear that there is not enough. It’s an indication of a belief in lack. When I catch myself hurrying I realize I must switch from a “not enough” mentality to a “more than enough” mentality. From a fearful mentality to a faithful mentality, from a bad feeling mentality to a good feeling one. I’ve noticed as I relax, by putting my faith in divine timing, traffic seems to go my way.
The biblical quote, “Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord” can be interpreted as, “Relax and experience the solution.” So, cultivate poise. Poise is power. Poise is a combination of patience and the expectancy that all is in divine order.
