I had always considered faith a dull subject until I discovered I'd been using it all along.  And it had real power, it had been determining the circumstances of my life.  The statement, Thoughts held in mind, produce after their kind, is a reminder that that my circumstances are a reflection of my inner life, and I can control my inner life by deciding upon the thoughts I entertain.

"We always demonstrate what we habitually have in our mind."  –Emmet Fox

It was enlightening to realize that I am not the victim of circumstance.  None of us are.  We have access to Power and the freedom to choose the thoughts we wish to see materialize as our life experience.  Faith is the propellant and expectation sets the course.

"Every single thought I have and every sentence I speak is an affirmation.  It is either positive or negative. Positive affirmations create positive experiences, and negative affirmations create negative experiences."  –Louise Hay

Where our attention goes, energy flows.  So, "Summing it all up. friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious - the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse." –Philippians 4:8

"Start telling a better-feeling story about the things that are important to you. Do not write your story like a factual documentary, weighing all the pros and cons of your experience, but instead tell the uplifting, fanciful, magical story of the wonder of your own life and watch what happens. It will feel like magic as your life begins to transform right before yours eyes, but it is not by magic. It is by the power of the Laws of the Universe and your deliberate alignment with those Laws."  –Abraham Hicks

Simply put, instead of worrying about what you don't want to happen, imagine what you would like to happen.
