Who the heck is Darrell Fusaro?

Picture
When organizations want an uplifting message with laughs, Darrell is the guy they call.  As a comic actor he’s appeared in many humorous commercials and was a cast member on the TV show, SpyTV.  As a cartoonist, he has a knack of keeping life in perspective.

Giving hilarious presentations that shine a light on the best life has to offer comes naturally to this TV producer of the Emmy® nominated news program, Local Edition.  His stories of being deserted by his alcoholic mother and raised by his father and a bunch of New Jersey wiseguys in the wake of the Mafia murder of his grandfather are as inspiring as they are laugh out loud funny.

Several years ago, after hearing of Darrell’s harrowing stories of defying the odds, a friend asked him to speak to a group of students. Darrell’s presentation was so moving and funny that he was asked to speak to other groups, and since then has shared his inspiring story and unique sense of humor with thousands at corporate and association meetings nationwide. His ability to point out his mistakes and laugh at himself is irresistible.

“At the expense of sounding flippantly cliche', I will truthfully exclaim: "I laughed, I cried, and I'm a better person from having experienced his amazing presentation." (And I'm a very tough customer! I dare ya to make me laugh OR cry!) He's awesome!”
                                     - Bill Lae, CEO LightForm Productions, Inc.

From humble beginnings as the art student who left school to join the Military because he'd rather risk his life than risk looking bad in class, Darrell became the first member of the Coast Guard to earn medals from three branches of the Military.  They were all for his personal efforts which brought about superior relations between the Military Services and the civilian law enforcement community.  While enlisted he created the Coast Guard's cartoon spokesperson for Hawaii, Poki.  Finally he became a professional artist exhibiting at galleries, museums, and universities (including the one he "left" years earlier).  All this attention got him selected to exhibit with Andy Warhol.  Although Warhol was dead, Darrell had the time of his life.

Delusions of grandeur prompted Darrell to move to Los Angeles with his wife, Lori.  His big break came in the form of a humble job in Hollywood.  Within six months he went from painting neon tubes to stunt coordinator on the major motion picture, Con Air.  Now he spends his time writing and sharing his practical brand of forgiveness, faith and love to thousands each year.  As he puts it, "You don't have to make all the mistakes I did, but even if you do, there's still hope!"

*"It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed."  -Napoleon Hill

*Disclaimer; "I have never met Napoleon Hill, nor has he ever heard me speak, but I really like this quote and thought you would too." -Darrell Fusaro
